As a Lead Packaging Operator, I am responsible for overseeing the processes of 6 additional personnel to ensure they are executing their duties to company and OSHA standards.The team is currently responsible for properly labeling, filling and packaging products for inventory or shipment. We provide quality assurance activities to ensure products meet or exceed stated internal or external packaging/shipping expectations.Perform weighing, filling, labeling, sealing and other packaging operations as well as general warehouse duties relating to packaging materials such as unloading bottle trucks and keeping packaging materials in order. Complete necessary information for recordkeeping.Partner with plant engineering to ensure that packaging equipment/material system specifications, functionality and design are appropriate for use.Define technical parameters, prepare test plans and evaluate packaging components and assemblies ensuring regulatory and quality compliance with industry standards (EPA, FIFRA, etc.)Troubleshoot and solve problems relating to packaging issues arising in manufacturing or in the supply chain.Develop and maintain package specs, usage instructions, certifications, and artwork templates; provide input on truck and container loading.Promote the standardization of packaging components and cost optimization of packaging while enhancing image, quality, recyclability, and performance.Design package components that will ensure user safety, product, and environmental protection, optimize cost, and ensure integration into production facilities.

Performs a variety of skilled tasks involving the repair and/or removal of asbestos containing materials; erects plastic barriers, seals off openings, constructs double barrier airlocks; installs HEPA (High Efficiency Particulate Air) filtering equipment; removes suspended ceilings and sprays amended water on asbestos material.Removes acoustical plaster, steel beam fireproofing and/or pipe and boiler insulation; decontaminates work area; replaces acoustical plaster, steel beam fireproofing and/or pipe and boiler insulation; installs new suspended ceilings; removes plastic barriers; wet washes entire work area; washes tools and equipment; restores area to its original condition.Performs minor electrical, carpentry, plastering, painting, installation, floor tile and other related repair work to restore the area disturbed during asbestos repair and removal.Prepares reports of completed work assignments which include information on the types and quantities of materials and supplies used.
