As a department leader I have constructed new curriculum and incorporated creative ideas to the existing art program to increase enrollment and participation. The program grew with the integration of additional art classes and technology to meet state & national standards. Over the years I have been a part of the implementation of various events and innovative instruction for new classes expanded the syllabus for a variety of students and their diversified educational needs. Courses inaugurated include; Photography (basic and advanced with college standing credit), Computer Animation (now a nationally recognized class). Along with regular classroom assignments, I have taught in the Oregon Community Education and the district’s summer school programs as well as having been a clinical supervisor of student teachers for the University of Wisconsin-Madison & Whitewater.
