I’ve seen the effects of poor financial planning. I’ve seen unbearable debt, small retirement savings, loss of income due to disability, and the premature death of a parent/spouse. (That last one, I’ve experienced personally.) I’ve also seen the effects of great financial planning. I’ve seen growing assets and properly managed debt. I’ve seen this both when life goes well (and life is free of tragedy), and when life goes poorly (and life happens).The difference between those with great and poor finances has little to do with what happened to them in life; it has everything to do with planning for both the good and the bad. Good financial planning is much more than “Spend less than you make, and save the difference.” It’s about maximizing your financial potential and assets while protecting yourself from loss of income, disability, accidents, lawsuits, and even death.As an independent, comprehensive financial planner, I get to walk alongside my clients and help you do what is best for you and your family. My role is that of an educator and financial quarterback. As a teacher, I use a very educational approach, so you that you are ultimately in control of your money.
