As a leader/manager for 30 years of organizations up to 450 employees (US citizens and foreign nationals), Michael has a diverse and comprehensive experience base in all aspects of leadership, management, and team-building. He has both national and international experience in negotiations with armed forces, unions, regulators, governments, and a diverse set of publics. Technical experience includes work in both the nuclear fuel cycle and renewable energy systems; state-of-the-art clean room design; structural dynamics, vulnerability and targeting studies; and the design and construction of unique R&D facilities and systems. Michael specializes in the integration and management of complex issues and programs with diverse sets of customers and stakeholders. Michael has systems analysis and design experience in a variety of disciplines to include energy and environment, research and development, program and organizational management, and healthcare. He has taught leadership programs and facilitated team-building for diverse management teams.Community Involvement: Michael serves as a member of the Board of Directors for NM Public Broadcasting Service and the United Way of Central New Mexico. Michael is a member of the Economic Forum and served as Chair for two years. Michael was re-elected to his second term on the Governing Board of Central NM Community College and currently serves as Chairman. He served on the Board of Trustees for Presbyterian Hospitals and Medical Group in central NM for 11 years. Michael was a member of the Charter Leadership New Mexico class and a recipient of the Governor's NM Public Service Award. He was inducted into the UNM Anderson School of Management’s Hall of Fame in 2005. NM Business Hall of Fame Inductee 2015.
