The Shortbread Shed is a creative photography and graphic design studio based in St Albans and London bringing a fresh and creative approach to both disciplines.

• I played a key role in the rebrand between Columbia Investments and Threadneedle Investments, joining together as Columbia Threadneedle Investments. • I worked closely with the US, European and Asian teams to roll out a vast amount of rebranded marketing materials in different languages, in an incredibly short time frame. This included a global advertising campaign for launch, the rollout of all business collateral globally, photoshoots, implementation of guidelines and the update of all marketing materials into a new look and feel.• The production of all types of corporate literature materials: brochures, factsheets, fund profiles, newsletters, invitations, calendars, conference packs, online and print advertising, web banners and animated gifs. Fitted out and running an in-house photographic studio. Work includes: • Corporate portraits: Headshots, PR, environmental, reportage, groups/teams, board members• Corporate event photography: Goodwood Revival, Sailing at Cowes, Rugby Sevens, The ITU World Triathlon in London and Leeds, The Threadneedle Prize exhibition and selection process at the Mall Galleries, charity events. • Commercial photography: Product shoots, buildings and architecture for interior and exterior, environmental and location.• Studio management: Ensure the smooth running of a very busy studio. Inc workflow, file naming and saving conventions, upgrades to software and hardware.

• Managing six designers producing hi-end design work for the 26 global offices. • Changed what was a DTP team into a hi-end, in-house design studio. • Set up the electronic file naming and saving architecture.• Updated an extensive image library• Brought in job bags, briefing forms, artwork and litho checklists to help minimise errors before jobs were sent to print.• Set up in-house semi professional photographic studio using a DSLR, studio lighting, reflectors and backdrops. We used the studio to take pictures of partners, lawyers, graduates and product shots to be used in printed and electronic/web publications. I also shot event photography in and around London and was sent out to Brussels and four offices in Germany to take pictures for our European marketing material.

Working with design agencies and in-house studios located in and around London. Designing brochures, leaflets and newsletters, maintaining branding guidelines and corporate style throughout work when required, layout of brochures/ report and accounts, art directing the look and feel for new concepts, taking over projects and liaison with clients directly, sourcing images from image banks, artworking and preparing files for print.

• My responsibilities were to set up an in-house design studio from scratch, recruit personnel and fully fit out the studio with the appropriate equipment and technology. • Conduct site visits on external printers, design and exhibition groups making sure the appropriate service levels were maintained.• Oversee the Chase brand within UK, Europe and Asia producing most material in-house. • The design team managed the brand in all chosen media formats producing brochures, newsletters and exhibition displays amongst many others.• Advising on the use of new media/technology for winning new business.
