- Responsible for ensuring incoming waste classifications and outgoing/outbound waste shipments are disposed in accordance to internal procedures and regulatory requirements.- Review analytical laboratory data of various waste streams to determine classification, identify disposal options, and ensure that waste is transferred to the appropriate approved disposal facilities.- Provide technical support to various departments within waste management sector, assist in waste profiling and identifying disposal options, and provide information to customers.- Ensure waste storage volumes comply with Regulatory limits and compliance with Facility Permit.- Assist in waste transportation including Transportation of Dangerous Goods Regulatory requirements, waste manifesting, and other regulatory requirements.- Work with Transfer Station Supervisor and Internal Regulatory Group to manage waste storage inventories.- Review and approve all Waste Approval Applications.- Support Sales and Project Coordinators/Managers with coding waste streams, disposal costs, customer waste history and waste profiling.- Conduct monthly/Quarterly Facility Inspections and report to internal regulatory group.- Assist in preparation of annual reports to the Ministry of Environment and NPRI reports to Environment Canada.- Prepare and submit Quarterly Facility Water Discharge Reports to Metro Vancouver.- Support to the Tervita Incident Response Team.

- Responsible for day-to-day facility operations and supervision of branch operations including waste inventory control, management of daily/weekly container and bulk waste inventories.- Cost control, rate negotiations with vendors and brokers, and monitoring of daily expenses.- Productivity and efficiency improvements, and supervisions and development of facility staff. Hiring and performance appraisal of staff.- Ensure completion and submission of daily/weekly safety meetings and weekly/monthly facility safety/compliance inspections, respectively.- Perform facility audits, incident investigations, and emergency response.- Research disposal options for waste streams and create waste profiles for new waste streams.-Identify and implement operational improvements to create efficiencies.- Support and active member of the Tervita Incident Response Team.

- Responsible for ensuring waste handling activities adhere to regulatory requirements.- Technical Support for all areas of the Hazardous Waste Transfer Station/Facility operations.- Public relations, dealing with general public with regard to company's Household Hazardous Waste Program.- Field Technician duties including lab packing chemicals for school districts, regional districts, and Incident Response Team (e.g. decommissioning of clandestine drug labs and chemical/waste spills/releases).- Receive incoming waste streams and ensure paperwork and waste classification/packaging is correct.- Problem solving, identifying and classifying waste streams, and preparation for transfer to approved disposal facilities.- Research disposal options for waste streams and create waste profiles for new waste streams.- Active member of the Tervita Incident Response Team.
