Hi! I’m Michael Dillon, the Recovery Support Officer (RSO) for the Barwon South West and North West Metropolitan regions of Victoria. I grew up on the Mornington Peninsula, moving to South West Victoria many years ago. I now live in Geelong with my partner Eliza and our three dogs, Freya, Aoife and Fergus.I have a background in community engagement, training and emergency response. Before joining the National Emergency Management Agency, I worked with the Australian Bureau of Statistics in community data collection and I have also held a volunteer position for the past fifteen years.As your RSO, I am excited to engage with all levels of my community. Reach out to me to share your ideas for community resilience, preparedness and recovery or how we can work together in times of need. I am here to support community members, businesses and organisations in their recovery journey from disasters events as well as preparing for future emergencies.
