Summary:In the dynamic world of e-commerce, Bargain Harolds Groups of Companies stands as a formidable retail giant. As the CEO, I've had the privilege of captaining this ship for over 14 years, overseeing a team of 3000 affiliates and 20 dedicated employees. Our journey has been marked by challenges, but it's these challenges that have fortified our resolve and determination. We've emerged from turbulent financial waters, steered by innovation and sound strategies, now poised to make a net profit of $5 million for the 3rd quarter next year. Furthermore, we've diversified our portfolio to include the luxurious 'Paradiseview' resort in the Caribbean, bringing a touch of paradise to our business endeavors. My tenure at Bargain Harolds has been defined by the following key achievements:Leadership and Team Building: A substantial part of our success can be attributed to my ability to lead and inspire a diverse team of affiliates and employees. My leadership style is characterized by its motivational qualities, allowing everyone to collaborate effectively and achieve common goals.Financial Turnaround: It's no secret that the e-commerce sector can be a volatile playing field. Bargain Harolds was no exception, facing losses over the past seven years. With a meticulous approach, I spearheaded a financial transformation that reversed the tides. As a result, we are now on the precipice of achieving a remarkable net profit of $5 million for the 3rd quarter next year.Diversification into Hospitality: Recognizing the potential for diversification, Bargain Harolds Groups of Companies ventured into the hospitality industry with the acquisition of 'Paradiseview' resort in the Caribbean. This expansion not only complements our portfolio but also aligns with our brand's ethos of providing value and luxury to our clientele. We believe that everyone deserves a touch of paradise in their lives, and 'Paradiseview' epitomizes this philosophy.

Distributed Document Repository The Distributed Document Repository is being developed using the latest Microsoft DOTNET .Net technologies. Most companies with many locations/departments do not have a central place where an employee can go to search for training guides, manuals, standard operating procedures etc. With this system, each department/location of a company is responsible for maintaining its own set of documents Word documents, pdf files, html pages etc. The documents are uploaded to the web-server within that department. These documents are then indexed using Microsoft Index Server. An employee always logs on to one Central Web Server. When an employee does a document search, the Central Web Server queries Web Services running on the web-servers at different departments/locations using SOAP and returns a list of documents that match the users requirements. The collective knowledge of the company thus becomes available at one central place. A new or updated document is available company-wide as soon as it is published.Responsibilities:Architect:, designed and developed the system in 3 tiers.Developed the Object Model using VisioDeveloped the front end using ASP.NetDeveloped Serviced middle ware components using VB.Net and C#Designed and developed the database and wrote stored procedures for SQL Server 2000Developed the web service using VB.NetDeveloped reports using Crystal Reports.NetMentored a junior developer on .Net technologiesON LINE DEMO AVAILABLE FOR THIS PROJECT !!!Environment:ASP.Net, VB.Net, C#, UML, Visual Studio.Net, SQL Server 2000, Crystal Reports.Net, Visio, Windows 2000 & XP
