About Michael Dipetta
My teaching philosophy heavily uses sociocultural theories and social constructivism. In addition to this, I endeavor to create an inclusive classroom environment with variation to keep adult learners engaged in activity based learning.I have a diverse educational background in journalism, history, literature, applied linguistics, and teaching English as a second language. I am currently teaching in Humber College's EAP Program while also tutoring at their Lakeshore Writing Centre. At the moment I am involved with a research project on the efficacy of Reformulation as a style of corrective feedback. My personal areas of research interest are in overcoming students' speaking anxiety and Dynamic Assessment.
