My passion is helping those in need and appreciating those that enable me to do so. I am a creative, entrepreneurial problem solver with empathy for those suffering from social injustice. After graduating from the University of Florida (Go Gators) I practiced in the field of architecture for eight years. Towards the end of that time, I was inspired by a minister that encouraged the congregation, "to find an injustice or unmet need that truly bothers you and then dedicate yourself to do all that you can to solve it."The injustice that bothered me was society's treatment of our poor and disadvantaged neighbors. The foundational and systemic unmet need that I decided to address was the lack of accessibility to legal identification documents, which are essential to enable full participation in modern society. My dedication led me to help create IDignity, a unique nonprofit organization that assists U.S. citizens in obtaining proof of their identity. Since 2008, IDignity has served over 30,000 individuals in Orlando and has replicated the model in several other communities.__________________________________________
