Select projects included: o Acted as lead geological advisor in selling and delivering a complex, 4.5-year integrated core and cuttings study for a client producing from a major U.S. shale-gas play, generating over $3.5M in analytical and consulting revenue. Included design and oversight of specialized sub-projects, some in collaboration with third party laboratories (e.g., EPMA analysis of detrital and diagenetic phases, kerogen/bitumen isolation and characterization).o Worked with in-house core analysis laboratory to develop and test the company’s first workflow for CO2 exposure testing for sandstone and carbonate injection zones, with extensive pre-test and post-test sample characterizationo Worked with in-house fluids laboratory to develop multiple customized workflows for improved formation. sensitivity assessment in mudstones, with improved characterization (SEM/EDS, XRD, XRF) to discriminate produced formation material, proppant, precipitates, and other organic and inorganic components.o Developed a quantitative technique for correlating cavings to stratigraphic position within a wellbore, and cross-checked results with neural network models developed in collaboration with an in-house data scientist.o Acted as petrology advisor for a client-sponsored assessment of critical elements in mudstones with variable organic-matter content conducted at a major university.o Developed and applied customized workflow using elemental analysis of cuttings for rapid mechanical assessment of lateral wellbores for completions design in the STACK play in the Anadarko basin.o Designed and oversaw implementation of new XRF calibrations for carbonate-evaporite and sandstone lithologies.

Hired and trained three Technical Advisors to self-sufficiency for shale jobs and business development in the U.S. The revamped service generated $11M in 2014.• Led startup and growth of the Elemental Applications (EA) Laboratory. Won and delivered EA Lab jobs from U.S., Middle East, West Africa, and Australia clients, while hiring and mentoring two chemostratigraphers. EA Lab showed greatest percent revenue growth in Weatherford Labs in 2014, with $750K revenue.• Conceived using elemental data to predict sandstone reservoir quality, which was co-developed by Weatherford R&D to a functional technique. Resulted in several publications and a patent pending.
