Key Accomplishments: • Created template for measuring CO2 emissions (direct and indirect), later confirmed to be industry standard by Sieben Energy Associates, an independent energy consulting company. • Equated measured metric tons of CO2 emissions to cars, gallons of gasoline, and barrels of crude oil using EPA and EIA resources. • Used air emission data from eGRID, a comprehensive inventory of environmental attributes of electric power systems, to determine the conversion factor of greenhouse gases emitted by various NERC (North American Electric Reliability Corporation) regions • Using IPMVP, identified rental properties not realizing energy savings due to punctured sprinkler lines, overfilled pools, etc. • Reviewed and updated energy audits to ensure continual savings for one year after installation. • To ensure accuracy for developing measuring template I read "The Greenhouse Gas Protocol - A Corporate Accounting and Reporting Standard" by the WRI (World Resources Institute) and the WBSCD (World Business Council for Sustainable Development), a standard to help companies prepare a cost-efficient greenhouse gas inventory that represents a true and fair account of their emissions through the use of standardized approaches and principles.
