Working as an occupational therapy student with my clinical instructor to strengthen my skills in neurological rehabilitation in an outpatient setting. During my rotation I participated in:- Conducting standardized evaluations, including: Range of Motion, Manual Muscle Testing, FIM scores, occupational profile, basic cognition testing, vision testing, and various other evaluation tools- Constructing treatment interventions that will benefit the various conditions of the patients- Being able to quickly upgrade and downgrade activities according to the specific needs of the patients- Taking over a caseload of over 60 patients with various conditions and challenges- Completing billing sheets and occupational therapy encounter notes with proper abbreviations and medical terminology- Being able to read a chart and finding solutions regarding deficits, creating treatment ideas to work on specific areas of concern- Working with other health care practitioners to help address patient's goals and needs through a collaborative effort-Being able to be versatile and work with various clinical instructors in both outpatient and inpatient settings- Writing up goals and completing Plan of Care reports for a variety of patients
