Developed, created and solely operated a neighborhood pizzeria. Grew to 3 locations. We were (are) the only cool, independent restaurant in our neck of the suburbs. Successfully and joyously sold Durkin's Pizza in the late Fall of '22.

One of the most innovative restaurants in Dallas at the time. An early adopter of community seating and upscale, fun brunches. We served duck and lobster under the canopy of music from Led Zeppelin and The White Stripes. And nobody was really doin’ that back then.

Ferre was a 6,000 sq ft. contemporary Italian restaurant that flourished in the halcyon days of Dallas' West Village. Ferre was firmly in the seat of the (then) emerging Uptown neighborhood that successfully returned youth and tremendous vibrancy to an underdeveloped part of Dallas.

I was the very first Manager of the original location of Fireside Pies on Henderson Ave., Dallas' first "artisanal" pizzeria. Hell, we were one of the first places in town to call them "pies"! A lasting concept that's still thriving and I'm very proud to have been a small part of the earliest days of Fireside.

Look, I saw this company go through a lot over just a few short years. I watched them rather numbingly dilute their brand equity and abandon nearly every core competency they had established. And I still had an absolute blast while working with some of the very best people I've ever met. Love All, Serve All- forever.
