Michael is a Registered Psychologist with extensive academic and clinical experience. He has held academic positions at Macquarie University, theUniversity of Western Sydney, and the University of Sydney.As founder and Director of the Brief Therapy Institute of Sydney, he is involved in a number of aspects of consulting and training in the Solution-Focused approach and its various applications.The Brief Therapy Institute of Sydney has an international reputation as a centre of excellence for training in Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT) in a variety of clinical settings. Michael has conducted more than 600 professional training workshops for government and non-government agencies in SFBT in Australia and New Zealand, Singapore, Europe and North America. In particular, over the last three years Michael has conducted extensive training for Mental Health Services in a number of New Zealand District Health Boards.http://www.brieftherapysydney.com.auMichael also works in educational and organisational settings. As well as training school counsellors, he has conducted Solution-Focused training for a number of school executives and staff.
