About Michael E. Loper
I have worked in the Oil & Gas/Right of Way Industry in the Appalachian basin and Michigan basin for over 16 years, and I have experience contracting with both large and small land companies. I have successfully held the positions of Right of Way Agent, Title Abstractor, Curative Agent, and Lease Buyer. I began developing my skills in oil and gas as a Lease Buyer, negotiating oil and gas leases with landowners in 2000. Over the years I have negotiated and closed the deal on multiple types of agreements pertaining to exploration for oil and gas and right of way in Pennsylvania, Michigan, Ohio, West Virginia, and Iowa. In addition to lease acquisitions, I am also proficient in researching surface and mineral ownership. Over the last year, I have been contracted on projects preparing title abstracts in West Virginia, researching forty-year surface title for the Dakota Access Pipeline in Iowa, and most recently researching title and acquiring seismic permitting/leases on a conventional oil and gas project in Ohio. I believe my diversity of experience gained from contracting with brokers like, The Management Group, TS Dudley, Long Consulting Group, Premier Land Services/AMI Land Services, Dixon Services, Inc., Dakotah Oil Company, S & A Property Research, GXL Premier Group, and Tellus Consulting Group, makes me an excellent candidate for any position in acquisitions or research. I have a greater understanding of taking an idea on a map and developing it into a preproduction prospect. Specialties: Negotiator, lease acquisition, contracts, legal, land operations, land management, strategy, business development, consulting, land systems, land takeoff, title, curative, mentoring.
Listed skills include Energy Industry, Petroleum, Natural Gas, Leases, and 23 others.
