My last 10 years:I was very proud to serve the public as a police officer and investigator. My primary responsibilities were investigating and preparing felony level cases including: homicides, sexual assaults, child protection, robberies, gang related cases, drugs, thefts, and burglaries. My passion was to find justice for all and to treat all participants with the utmost respect and kindness.This was extremely evident in cases involving children as I was certified to conduct their forensic interviews. I was touched by many of these cases as teaching and mentoring children has always been a part of my life. In law enforcement this included teaching the DARE curriculum for years and speaking at the annual kids Safety Camp. As a board member of the Minnesota Sex Crimes Investigators Association I assisted in planning two annual trainings for investigators from Minnesota and the surrounding states. These trainings provided insight, knowledge, and best practices from sensitive case studies and speeches from the victims of horrific crimes. I am now looking for new challenges and opportunities. The potential for growth and advancement with any new position is paramount for me. I look forward to putting my energy, experience, and intelligence to work for your team.
