I am working as an E.I.T. and hope to have my Professional Engineering license within the next year. I manage multiple projects on a daily basis. Projects can be large scale and very detailed. I also work on research and design for PDI. My extra studies as a graduate student has given me the ability to do complex calculations. I am very familar with large fabrication shops located in Canada and the US. I am also very familar with FEA(Finite Element Analysis) and I look to use that for future designs utilizing the optimization approach. PDI is a great company to work for and I look forward to growing with the company. This is truly a pure Mechanical Engineering company with all custom work and new projects.

I worked as a Graduate Research Assitant at the University of Maine. We worked with Alba-Technic LLC of Winthrop, Maine. We were in the process of developing a product to mitigate head injuries due to falls within the elderly communities such as nursing homes and hospitals where a fall incident is potentially injury prone or fatal. We used finite element analysis and experimental tests to determine an optimal combination of honeycomb and dilatant materials for protective headwear that reduces the likelihood of injuries such as skull fracture and traumatic brain injury. The honeycombs were manufactured in house using a patent pending method at the time. Dilatant materials were chosen from a line of protection materials, PORON® XRD™, developed by Rogers Corporation. The materials were ultimately used in prototype headbands that were tested using the Hybrid III ATD head/neck apparatus.
