Working with colleagues and partners across the National Park to develop projects and secure support to achieve Nature Recovery, Climate Action and a National Park for All.

Worked with academic teams to develop proposals and secure significant philanthropic funding from trusts and foundations, corporates and the Lottery. Translated research into accessible narratives to support a variety of projects and scholarship programmes, with particular long-term involvement in honey bee research and environmental outreach at the Laboratory of Apiculture and Social Insects' (LASI) and tackling the neglected tropical disease podoconiosis with the Centre for Global Health Research at the Brighton and Sussex Medical Sussex (BSMS).

Focused on Landfill Communities Fund, Lottery, EU and trust bids to support nature conservation projects in the South East of England. Led on fundraising for a heathland restoration project at Broadwater Warren nature reserve, managing an HLF Landscape Partnership Scheme grant and securing additional funds through the Landfill Communities Fund. Line-managed the Project Fundraising Assistant within the Project Fundraising Team.

Ensured grant compliance for a variety of EU, statutory, trust and corporate funders.

Worked as part of a team dedicated to securing multi-year, multi-country grants from the EU and other aid agencies for global nature conversation projects.

Managed the Sussex Wildlife Trust corporate support schemes involving membership, sponsorship, services-in-kind, employee volunteering and grant applications. Secured support for a variety of sponsored conservation and education projects involving corporate supporters, local schools, and volunteers including an award-winning ‘Make A Difference Day’ project as part of the national Community Service Volunteers scheme.

In-house designer, creating a variety of artwork for CDs, DVDs, catalogues and promotional materials. Liaised with printing agencies to cost, produce and deliver products on time and on budget.

Co-founded independent magazine with fellow illustrator and designer Mark Beacock, combining pop culture, politics and puns.
