I have also served as a mentor for newly promoted supervisors, and as part of the use of force training cadre. Passionate about building relationships and working across disciplines to increase effectiveness and mission success.Career highlights include:- Lead the opening and commissioning of the newly constructed Federal Inspection Services facility, Kailua Kona, Hawaii. Responsible for working with multiple stakeholders to solve evolving issues during transition into, and opening of the new facility.- Deployed in 2019 in response to civil unrest as part of an CBP Office of Professional Responsibility team tasked with conducting near real-time use of force review during the incident. - Deployed to the Southern Border in support of the 2018 migrant crisis, leading a team of 40 CBP officers and managers in joint operations with the U.S. Border Patrol, multiple law enforcement agencies, and various DOD assets.- Authored the Area Port of Seattle active shooter response and business resumption plan. This effort was created from the ground up in concert with Port of Seattle Police, Fire, and Emergency Management departments. - Served as a firearms/use of force instructor for 10 years. Specialized in training new and less confident marksmen, leading to a 100% firearms qualification pass rate. - Deployed to the Houston, TX area in support of recovery efforts after Hurricane Ike.
