About Michael Eirup
When looking at my experience both private and professional one part that seems to be an ongoing theme is my capability to work with and communicate on all level of an organization and age – whether this is technical or #strategic or social factors. I can translate individual challenge into being part of a broader/overall strategy and I can translate an overall strategy into operational logic for the single person or group.I have a high self-reflection og huge curiosity into new way of operating or handle a challenge. All from low tech to high tec.I’m a great networker and by that I believe in bringing the right people together to solve a challenge. As a #manager I believe in diversity is a strength. I strive to strength the organisation by giving the individual team member the tool and trust to improve their area of work and expertise. I challenge them into new areas when I believe both parties are ready. I believe in manage true #emotional intelligent is an import part of getting your co-work to perform on their best. This also mean that even do you have a team of worker not all shall be handled equally but as individual. This is the same approach I have from working with team sport both youth and adult. My career have sharpened who I am and what contribution I give to an organisation as well as my family, friends and Network have been part in shaping me to who I am today as a person.I have played a major role in the KVIST strategy on their environmental strategy. As KVIST do not own any products them self a question was whether we could take the lead. Implementation on EU-Ecolabel and Nordic Swan as a service option for our customers was our first step after FSC certified wood.I have worked with #Circular Economy the last 15 years and strongly believe this is part of the bigger solution.Next step in the strategic work is securing #ESG (Environmental, Social, Governance) strategy and make KVIST ready to be applicable with the requirements which will come in the coming years on a transparent business. In my spare time I #coach young people in the team sport Handball. I have done this for almost 25 years and my work with these teenagers give me a lot of energy. I believe the young people keep my brain fresh and open for what happen and what set the agenda for next generation. My work with this group have given me a lot of connection which I still have with some of the players from 25 years back. I love to follow and support them if I can even when I have stopped working with them.

Until know I have been responsible for implementation of ISO 9001 and ISO 45001. I have decentralized responsibility of quality and by this the responsibility got closer to does who can do a difference. A similar process we did with Health and Safety – specially in Latvia where there has been a culture of centralize responsibility.I have done a lot of network and still do to secure a link between educational institute as university, business school etc. both to make the students aware of KVIST as a company and possible workplace or place for doing there Master degree. In this period, we have increased our awareness at the students and each semester we have one or to application for making master thesis and we have one or two student works with study relevant work ongoing.I’m playing a major role in the KVIST environmental strategy. As KVIST do not own any products them self a question was whether we could take the lead. Implementation on EU-Ecolabel and Nordic Swan as a service option for our customers was our first step after FSC certified wood.I have worked with #Circular Economy the last 15 years and strongly believe this is part of the bigger solution and I have been part of setting this on the EU agenda with-in the furniture industry. But the big scale industry is first in this period ready on a bigger scale to enter this agenda.Structured documentation and secure prove of process became quickly next step as I in my strategy must ensure KVIST are in the lead of a #sustainble business.Next step in the strategic work is securing #ESG (Environmental, Social, Governance) strategy and make KVIST ready to be applicable with the requirements which will come in the coming years on a transparent business.
