The OOSV is outfitted for marine surveys and scientific research on ocean currents and the seabed. Equipped with the latest scientific research apparatus, the OOSV will increase our overall understanding of the impact that climate change has on the oceans. Also worked on the Royal Canadian Navy (RCN), Joint Support Ship 1 (JSS1). This vessel will enable Naval task forces to stay on missions for extended periods.
