I am currently a fourth-year undergraduate student completing a degree in Mechanical Engineering with Biomedical Concentration at the University of British Columbia (UBC). My goal is to make a meaningful impact in the field of Mechanical and Biomedical Engineering, and I am excited to bring my technical expertise and practical experience to the industry. My professional journey has included a role as a Geotechnical/Materials Technician at Kontur Geotechnical Consultants Inc., a role as a Mechanical Engineering Intern at WhiteWater West Industries Ltd., and a role as an Intern, Production Support - Ship Construction at Seaspan ULC.I possess a wide array of technical skills in the realms of computer design, programming, and hardware, emphasized by numerous hands-on projects that highlight my skills in SolidWorks and CAD/CAM. Notable among these projects is my “One-Stage Reduction Gear Box Project” in which I designed and modeled a 3.5 reduction speed gear box for a marine vessel propulsion system. I crafted the gearbox using SolidWorks. Another project I completed was a “Brushless DC Motor Design Project” where I successfully designed and built a brushless DC motor. My programming includes a self-driving A.I. model car I python coded. My machine shop skills are proficient through a bench vice I designed/machined. Lastly, I am knowledgeable in the consultation area of Engineering as I did a project on solar consultation with the Syilx Okanagan Nation. These projects demonstrate my versatility and commitment to innovation and excellence within the field. My academic achievements include being recognized on the Dean's Honour List at UBC, placing in the top pool for the 2021 Aquahacking Competition for my “Tri-Filter” filtration system design, and top video in my UBC SolidWorks CAD/CAM design competition for my creation of the "SafeSpace" medical mask attachment.I am an active member of professional organizations including: Engineers and Geoscientists British Columbia (EGBC). Graduating soon from UBC with an Engineering degree, obtaining my P.Eng certification is a key goal, reflecting my commitment to excellence and making a lasting impact in the Engineering field. I am always eager to connect with fellow professionals, discuss exciting opportunities, and share insights.
