The Connected Home segment offers a complete portfolio of Broadband and Video Customer Premise Equipment (“CPE”) to Pay-TV operators and Network Service Providers (“NSPs”), including broadband modems and gateways, digital set-top box, and Internet of Things (“IoT”) connected devices. Connected Home operates in the Americas, Europe, Asia, India, and Australia. Responsibilities lead world-wide accounting and reporting teams which span across all 6 continents with heavy focus on corporate and statutory reporting (~20 team members), partnering with our internal and external audit/tax service firms to ensure compliance and accuracy in our reporting. In addition to the world-wide accounting responsibilities, support our Financial Planning and Analysis team which includes month-end/quarter-end reporting, budgeting and forecasting and partnership with our Regional Business Centers focusing on segment/customer profitability and capital allocation for investment opportunities.

Primary responsibilities include core finance functions (Accounting, Financial Planning and Analysis, Treasury and Internal Audit) in addition to being actively involved in all operating aspects of our business to grow top line (organically and inorganically) and improve core operating profit ensuring we are providing the right return our parent company Notable Achievements:  As Executive Sponsor to integration, identified and ensuring approximately $126MM in synergies are harvested to improve operating cash flow of the combined business. Currently, we have approximately $106MM of synergies executed with robust tracking mechanism in place.  Executive Sponsor to the SAP Finance Integration at Pep Boys to replace their back end, home-grown ERP. Project is expected to be completed in Q1 2017. Implementation will improve the close timeline and reduce dependency on manual work which will reduce staffing need to complete the close.  Created an organization that will provide optimal business support through reporting and timely completion of the results with a smaller team. At the end of the consolidation, headcount will be reduced by 53% to 82 team members.

Promoted to senior leadership team supporting corporate strategies and operational efficiency improvement. Notable Achievements:  One of two leaders who lead divesture of business segment to IEP covering multiple functions including legal, operations financial, supply chain and human resources.  Implemented monthly product category review to control inventory and product margins to ensure the company was maximizing capital deployment which lead to $23MM inventory reduction (or 8% reduction) and gross margin improvement of 2% .

Led accounting and finance functions for $750MM division of Uni-Select Inc, supported the Chief Operating Officer of US Automotive Division, and reported directly to Uni-Select Leadership. Responsible for department of 65 team members (reduced down from 125 team members) overseeing all financial reporting, general accounting, inventory accounting, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and corporate tax. Notable Achievements:  Identified and integrated multiple acquisitions helping our company grow top line by $100MM or 15%.Key member of 2013 Strategic Review which led to a $32MM restructure charge booked in June 2013. Major initiatives included closing 48 stores, consolidating or closing 10 distribution centers, and reducing our fixed cost structure.  Worked closely with the business unit leadership to develop and implement processes to track key KPI’s which lead to approx. $5MM – $7MM in payroll savings vs benchmark year. Presented a business plan to consolidate the company’s back offices from 5 to 2 offices which provided $1.0MM of additional EBITDA in 2014.  Key leader in the SAP implementation including FICO and the Enterprise Warehouse Management Tool (EWM/POS System). Rollout has been in phases with the final phase executed December 2013.  Reduced close process from 12 days to 6 days to provide division leadership results earlier in month which lead to quicker business decisions.
