Graduate Research AssistantStanford University Oct 2014 - Apr 2016Stanford, Ca, UsAt the Interdisciplinary Research in Sustainable Engineering Lab, my research focused on modeling multidiscplinary systems and application of optimization algorithms to product design. In my research, I used the results of 3rd party surveys to generate consumer choice models (models of a consumer's likelihood to purchase a vehicle) combined with empirical vehicle models (variables: technical specifications, output: product characteristics) to determine the optimal vehicle product portfolio to appeal to the largest set of consumers. This framework allowed me to investigate how different assumptions about consumer's behavior affect an optimal portfolio. I coded all models and optimization routines for this research in C++.Additional lab responsibilities included peer reviewing work for publication in academic publications and providing mentorship to new Lab members. -
