As Founder, President and COO of Nellix Endovascular, Michael patented and developed a highly differentiated EVAR technology platform, The Nellix EVAS system, that completely seals and fills an aortic aneurysm sac to prevent device migration and eliminate endoleaks. In addition to raising over $35M in venture capital Michael was responsible for many facets of company operations including Sales and Marketing, Finance, HR, Operations, and Product Development. Nellix was acquired by Endologix for $54M in October of 2010.

LuMend develops advanced product platforms that target chronic total occlusions for the peripheral vascular market. While at LuMend Michael was responsible for Product Development, Manufacturing and clinical evaluation for the OUTBACK LTD Re-Entry Catheter. LuMend was acquired in September 2005 by Cordis Corporation, a Johnson & Johnson company.

Bacchus Vascular was Founded by Michael Evans and Dr. Thomas Fogarty, a noted inventor and cardiovascular surgeon. Bacchus Vascular has created unique treatment solutions for Deep Vein Thrombosis. Michael was the inventor of the Trellis Infusion Catheter and was responsible for Fundraising, Product Development, Operations, and Regulatory planning. Michael was employee number five at AneuRx and is listed on over 18 issued AneuRx patents. Michael led delivery system design activities as Director of R&D and trained hundreds of physicians world wide in his role as Director of Scientific Affairs. The AneuRx Abdominal Stent Graft System is one of the most implanted AAA stent grafts in the world with over 83,000 patients. AneuRx was acquired by Medtronic, MDT in 1996.

While at Innerdyne Michael developed devices for the OBGYN market and minimally invasive surgical access products using proprietary radial dilation technology. In 2006, Innerdyne, Inc. became part of Tyco International Ltd. InnerDyne, Inc. currently operates as a subsidiary of Covidien, Ltd.
