Hello. My name is Michael and for 22 years I worked at Airborne Systems Europe as a production operator. I worked in the cutting department where I used a number of different hand held tools and cutting devices. The last 4 years spent at this company I was involved in the running of a laser cutting machine which included the setting up and programming of the machine. In 2017 I decided to take up a Quality Inspection opportunity at Zimmer Biomet. I spent over 2 years at ZB, mainly working in a controlled environment clean room, inspecting various implants including various types of knees, hips and elbows. I really enjoyed my time at Zimmer Biomet and loved working in the quality department and would relish the chance to take up a similar role in the future. Since leaving Zimmer Biomet, I have been working at Ortho Clinical Diagnostics. My role here is as a manufacturing Technician, where I am responsible for the running of fast paced machines making products for the pharmaceutical sector. It is a challenging role but rewarding especially in today’s current climate. My last 2 positions have required me to work shifts which I have throughly enjoyed and I would like to continue working shifts for the foreseeable future.
