This role requires me to be a highly skilled educational leader who has acknowledged excellence in academic leadership and educational practice. The role is expected to focus upon leadership and qualitative improvements in educational processes and programs. This role also requires me to liaise with industry representatives and community organisations, other government departments, external agencies and the general public.

The Educational Manager ensures that the workgroup maintains a close working relationship with relevant industries and/or professional bodies. Ensuring the workgroup’s teaching and administrative support staff are part of participative decision-making processes when appropriate and that strong working relationships exist with Institute staff responsible for the delivery of Education Services to students of the program. Liaises with program staff located in other TAFESA campuses. Works co-operatively and collaboratively with other members of the work group including other Educational Managers within the Faculty of Business.

Edge VR brings Virtual Reality technology to students within R-7 schools through our mobile VR laboratory. Edge VR will focus on education through VR; using HTC Vive. Our focus is on group immersion for schools. Our company will produce learning environments for school children with the national curriculum at its heart. The use of this technology will allow students to visit places that are either financially or physically impossible to achieve through traditional methods all without leaving the school grounds.
