This effort included extensive interfacing with the NRC Project Manager and NRC Staff on a daily basis relative to NRC IP71002 audit and inspection items, draft requests for additional information (RAIs) and their responses, formal RAIs and their responses, potential LR SER open items (OIs), and the formal SER OIs and Confirmatory Items (CIs).• Was the CNS Project Manager for the License Renewal Readiness Assessment and the Pilot Program for the Beaver Valley License Renewal Project.• Was the Lead for the Nine Mile Point and Beaver Valley License Renewal Severe Accident Mitigation Assessment activities.• Was the Project Manager for the CNS Project responsible for preparation of Conceptual Design Packages at Nine Mile Point. • Was the Project Manager for the CNS Project to provide disposition and Maintenance Rule Evaluation of Nine Mile Point Deviation/Event Reports.• Was the Project Manager for a Preventive Maintenance Optimization Survey conducted for Mitsubishi International Corporation.• Developed a suite of 20 administrative level procedures for the High Desert Power Project to bring the plant into conformance with the then newly developed plant maintenance standards implemented by the California Public Utility Commission that were based on 10 CFR 50 requirements.

Provided Consulting Engineering services for the License Renewal Project at Calvert Cliffs NPP:• Was a co-author of the License Renewal Application. • Provided technical support for the resolution of issues concerning materials of construction, plausibility of age-related degradation mechanisms, component scoping, industry and CCNPP experience, and management of specific aging concerns.• Provided technical support for the resolution of issues raised by the NRC during the course of their review of the License Renewal Application and during their IP71002 on-site inspections.• Interfaced with the NRC during their visits to the plant to resolve License Renewal Application technical issues.• Provided technical support for the determination, modification, and basis capture of applicable programs, procedures, and maintenance elements to be credited for managing plausible aging effects for within scope of license renewal components.• Provided consulting services for NRC Region IV as the Technical Consultant on the inspection team for an Engineering and Technical Support Inspection of the Wolf Creek Generating Station
As Executive Engineer, provided Project Management/Task Management responsibilities for Consulting Engineering Division projects (for many of these projects, was also the Lead Engineer) as follows:• Held long-term assignment as the Principal Mechanical Engineer for NUS' Raleigh office and the Project Manager for all Brunswick Nuclear Project work tasks under the NUS General Services Agreement with Carolina Power & Light Company. The task included responsibility for the supervision of up to 30 people.• The detailed design of Cooper Nuclear Station’s Vehicle Barrier System.• Provision of Quality Assurance services and technical expertise in support of the United States Enrichment Corporation (USEC) GDP QA Audit Program, in support of the development of procedures for compliance with 10CFR76, and in support of the GDP’s Plant Performance Review Committees for USEC.• The evaluation and programmatic assessment of the External Audits group of TVA for which I was also the Lead Auditor.• Modeling of the Savannah River Site’s waste streams (low level, hazardous, mixed, and TRU wastes) using the generic systems analysis software, VENSIM.• The development of decommissioning cost estimating software for Korea’s Atomic Energy Research Institute.• The economic evaluation of mobile on-site supercompaction of low-level waste at Fernald.• Support for the Perry NPP Condition Report Corrective Action (CRCA) closure project for CRCAs concerning Radiation Zone and EQ Zone Maps, the evaluation of CST Suction Strainers, the review of surveillance and test instruction requirements (SVIs and PTIs) against ASME Section XI, the generation of a Design Guide for Bolt Torquing, and the reconstitution of source term and dose rate calculations. • The evaluation of system design, operations, maintenance, training, and testing of instrument air systems for several nuclear power stations in response to Generic Letter 88-14.
