Led and developed 210 military and civilian personnel at 36 locations across 144,000 square miles of Central and South Texas while executing the command's mission with a $2M budget.

Managed 58,000 reserve manpower requirements with a Total Obligation Authority of $1.9B across all Warfighting Enterprises.

Served as the Chief of Naval Research’s advisor and reserve resource manager. With a budget of $1 million, prepared and implemented an integrated reserve operational support plan for 200 Navy reservists attached to 15 Office of Naval Research, Naval Research Laboratory, and general Science and Technology Navy reserve units.

Led a staff of 17 personnel, managed a budget over $1.3 million, and provided training, administration, medical/dental, and logistics support to over 330 Navy reservists attached to 11 Navy reserve units in support of operational and war fighting missions. Represented the Navy in West Michigan as a member of the Battle Creek Area Chamber of Commerce - Military Affairs Committee, Recruiting District Assistance Council for West Michigan, and Michigan Committee for Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve (ESGR). During off duty hours, volunteered with several West Michigan community service organizations such as Battle Creek Veterans Affairs Medical Center, Binder Park Zoo, Cereal City Sunrise Rotary Club, Food Bank of South Central Michigan, Junior Achievement of Southwest Michigan, Southern Shores Field Service Council/Boy Scouts of America and the United States Naval Sea Cadet Corps.

Provided direct support to the planning and programming of all MPTE resources in support of 328,000 Sailors that includes the domain’s 19,000 employees and $29 billion budget. Managed administrative oversight of 8 Flag Officers, Senior Executives, and Division Directors and coordinated key responses to Congress, Secretary of the Navy, Chief of Naval Operations and other senior Department of Defense leadership.

Managed more than 100 military personnel at the Navy’s premier joint Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (C4ISR) Center and directed the completion of all administrative requirements for SSC Pacific’s realignment and consolidation of three commands, enabling a smooth transition without degrading mission readiness. Actively participated in the Center’s Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics Educational (STEM) Outreach Program and expanding its presence into highly sought after Historically Black Colleges and Universities talent market. Handpicked for the Navy’s Senior Minority Assistance to Recruiting program, singlehandedly reaching 2,500 youth and key influencers in Central Texas.

Managed the attainment of enlisted and officer recruiting goals (led the Nation with more than 2,700 contracts) while supervising more than 220 civilian and military personnel and applied resources totaling more than $2.2 million by successfully leading the command’s consolidation of active and reserve recruiting personnel, mission and resources.

Planned, coordinated and supervised deployment schedules for nine Surface Mine Countermeasures ships in Ingleside, TX and Bahrain and was instrumental in the successful deployment of Mine Warfare Readiness Group FOUR, the first-ever deployment of mine hunter coastal ships in the Third Fleet area of responsibility (eastern/northern Pacific Ocean).

Trained and led 50 engineering technicians in daily engine room operations, maintenance, and repairs for four engines and generators. Participated in EAST TIMOR humanitarian assistance and OPERATION ENDURING FREEDOM – Philippines. Published articles in The Proceedings - “A Legacy of Bravery” and Shipmate Magazine - “The Navy Honors African American Heroes”.

Served as the Natural Disaster Liaison Officer within the Military Component, recognized subject matter expert for United Nations Humanitarian Civil-Military coordination; was instrumental in planning and executing 10 regional and 3 national exercises involving the Government of Haiti, UN Agencies and other Non-governmental Organizations resulting in significant increases in Haitian operational response capability. As an Operations Branch planner, was responsible for the preparation and execution of over 500 Task Orders in a mission of over 7,000 military personnel; ensuring a stable and secure environment in Haiti. The team’s efforts were instrumental in maintaining rule of law and the deterrence of criminality in Haiti’s high risk areas. During off duty hours, volunteered with several community service organizations such as Eskout Asisyen Scouts d'Haïti (Haitian Scouts), Jeune Chambre Internationale Haïti (JCI-Haiti), and Ecole Shalom (Alpha Academy). Also, with the help of UN colleagues and friends collected soccer balls and uniforms to support 2011 CNN Hero Mr. Patrice Millet’s Foundation Notre-Dame du Perpétuel Secours (Foundation of Our Lady of Perpetual Help) which uses soccer to help 600 children in the slums of Haiti who are enduring poverty to stay out of criminal activities and gangs through “education by sport.”

Performed a variety of duties in Ethiopia supporting the cease-fire agreement between Ethiopia and Eritrea. As the Finance and Military Personnel Officer, handled all financial and personnel actions for 30 international UN Military Observers. During off duty hours, taught villagers and other Military Observers conversational English and completed several United Nations Institute for Training and Research training modules in peacekeeping, security and diplomacy.

Taught three undergraduate level classes (Management Information Systems, Organizational Theory, and Organizational Behavior and Development) to active duty personnel, retirees and family members.

Analyzed/projected political, social and economic trends for the Commander and represented him in several joint military and community events.
