This program has allowed me to gain sufficient understanding around the digital side of banking therefore this has helped me to assist in upskilling collegues and customers in digital apps. As part of my role as a digital eagle this has allowed me to: • Gain sufficient knowledge around the use of technology and digital banking. •implementing the knowledge which I have gained and utilising this in my everyday banking role. • Being able to participate in Barclays life skills events such as tea and teach events where I was responsible for seeing and speaking to customers around how to stay safe online, the use of digital apps and what scams fraudsters use to obtain personal details. • Being digitally savvy. • Upskilling both customers and collegues in digital apps. • Being the information tool to both collegues and customers Show less

As part of my role, my duties include: • Barclays life skills - I have had the oppurtunity to work within the community and provide life skills to inviduals. I attended a life skills event at ST Barns school in Newbury in which I supported school leavers with interview skills. I have also participated in a tea and teach session where I assisted customers' around the use of technology on how to stay safe online and fraud awareness. • Digital Eagle program - I gained sufficient knowledge around digital banking and I am able to provide technical support to both customers and collegues.• Providing support for the bank in facilitating the training in newly hired community bankers. • Working in a diverse environment - as I work in a network of four branches I have had the oppurtunity to support different size branches through the week. • Supervise debit, credit or cash transactions, as well as other forms of payments within the bank. • Establishing an exciting and welcoming affair for prospective clients on entering the bank.• Review cash accounts on a daily basis.• Supplying clients with relevant information on products and services within the bank.• Resolving customer issues at first point of contact which relate to products and services.• Managing exchanges and returns whilst adhering to the banks internal procedures. • Undertaking admistrative tasks such as answering the branch phone to assist with any internal/external queries, managing files and records that are held in branch in relation to customers and agreements. • Maintaining customer relationships• Promoting customer satisfaction and driving the customers journey• Complaints Show less
