- Design power distribution, lighting, communication, fire alarm and nurse call systems for existing and new educational, commercial, medical facilities and industrial buildings.- Prepare power, signal and lighting floor plans, details, riser diagrams, work notes and electrical specifications.- Load analysis, voltage drop calculations, sizing of the transformers and emergency generators, wire and conduit selection; motor control centers, panel boards, service switchgear layouts and diagrams; lighting calculations and wiring devices layouts.- Lightning protection system assessment.- Short circuit, selectivity coordination and arc-flash evaluation.- Supervising engineers and designers.- Surveying and preparing due diligence reports which includes analysis of the existing conditions and budget estimates.- Review construction documents prepared by other engineering companies for compliance with the codes and engineering practices.- Responsible for electrical projects throughout all phases of design development and construction.- Shop drawings approval and consulting of clients, contractors from pre-construction period to the project completion.- Supervision of electrical systems installation at construction sites.- Job meetings with clients, architects and contractors.- Final inspection of all electrical systems for compliance with local and national codes, standards and contract documents. - Coordinated all engineering aspects with architects, clients, electrical equipment manufacturers and other trades in all phases of design development and construction.- Responsible for review of electrical contract documents for compliance with applicable codes and standards.
