As a primary Detail Leader and first line supervisor in the field of executive protection, I was directly responsible for the daily protective security plans and risk mitigation for an executive protectee of the U.S. Secret Service. Additionally, I held the role of liaison to an executive assigned in the administration at the White House. Operating as the primary Detail Leader for in-town, domestic and foreign visits, I scheduled protective shift agents and reviewed operational security plans for thoroughness and accuracy. In this capacity, I mentored and supervised a team of Special Agents in protective operations as well as whip Special Agents to ensure they received guidance in development as future supervisors.I have found people are our greatest asset! As such, I am intrinsically motivated to proactively build a climate of trust by demonstrating behaviors that clearly value the individual as well as the team. Through open communication and mentorship, complex or sensitive issues are resolved in teamwork and cooperation. It is my intention to always instill a strong teamwork approach and challenge my team members to excel in areas of risk mitigation, physical fitness, firearms training, and emergency response action planning. During my time in this role, I instituted innovative projects and have established various new protocols and operating procedures to ensure my team is well versed in protective policies and guidelines.

During my time in this role, I maintained an awareness for the United States Secret Service’s budget while balancing the needs for the mission. Through a three-pronged approach of fiscal management, mission needs and contractual obligations, I deciphered ambiguous requests in pursuit of a solution which pursued the highest quality of care in consideration of the traveler and expense to the government. I made myself available to other members of Secret Service as a knowledge base and as a representative of the office maintaining preparedness, dedication, personal sacrifice, and selflessness. I enjoyed the fiscal responsibility of ensuring compliance of the Federal Travel Regulations and USSS Policy. I furthermore reviewed and amended outdated policy, library forms, memos and checklists for distribution. I reviewed, approved, and assisted in the booking of 46,323 flights in the amount of $24,922,937.33, 16,458 rental vehicles in the amount of $6,392,172.15, 3,733 Invitational travelers, 1,159 lodging variances, 75 FOIA requests, and further facilitated the logistics and LRC briefings for forty-two SA and UD recruit classes as well as multiple PPD and VPD lead schools.

Assigned in this role, I performed the duties as outlined below for the Assistant Detail Leader position; however, additionally carried responsibility for weekly final red pen schedules, managed travel itineraries for final schedules, completed weekly support spreadsheets, drafted after action documents subsequent to Executive Protective movements, and oversaw shift ancillary assignments.

Assigned in this role for the protective operations of a primary executive protectee, I performed daily duties to include movement, training and administrative responsibilities. Among these were the coordination of emergency action planning between the Presidential Protective Division and First Lady Detail shift, Counter Surveillance, Access Control and Transportation as well as liaison with White House East Wing, White House Medical Unit and the White House Military Office. Off-complex movements involved intermittent telephonic contact with protective leads for familiarity and oversight as well as final visit briefs conducted for preparation of protectee travel as well as the whip and coordination of shift positioning during these movements. Additionally, I ensured all new special agents to the detail were provided with the necessary information and skills needed per policies and procedures and further addressed training deficiencies, emergency action procedures and procurement of equipment.

These duties involved shift logistics, aircraft manifesting, proactive advance document review and approval and scheduling.
