Technicians shall: be versed in Unix, LINUX, and Windows NT operating systems, as well as the system administration, networking, trouble shooting, and repair of these systems; conduct all equipment, hardware, software preparation, setup, breakdown, and maintenance of systems used for simulation and digital C2 events; write materials necessary to conduct technical training; conduct technical training; technician duties shall also consist of all technical aspects of simulation and digital C2 event development, support, and experimentation as needed or required for each event; other requirements as necessary.

Provide assistance to the network Communications Manager. Assist network users and resolve network problems. Setup and support: personal computers, printers (local and networked), and other peripherals for administrative offices. Install and troubleshoot operating systems and software. Maintain a current backup system and perform daily and weekly backups of critical data. Maintain and troubleshoot Courseworks and Booklog, the server software, for the Bookstores POS system. Maintain the Database software Shopkey. Pick up all work orders from the help desk and enter all information for ‘resolutions’ into a database called Track IT.

Facilitate the operations of the distance learning classroom. Regulate the incoming and outgoing feeds. Maintain the levels of quality in video and audio. Installed equipment for smart classrooms (Projectors, speakers, screens, VCR’s, computers, etc…)
