Attendance Officer
CurrentAPR 2022 - Present Co-op Academy ManchesterAttendance officer, ensuing that students are marked in correctly for each lesson, usingSIMS, sending Safeguarding messages home for those not present, and logging messagesreceived regarding absence. When receiving messages, it may be necessary to log anySafeguarding concerns on an online system, CPOMS. I contact parents or carers aboutabsences, either by phone, message or letter. I also arrange meetings in school or makehome visits to discuss a student's attendance, liaising with other parties such as Behaviourand Child Protection staff within the school, and external agencies such as Social Workersand Off-site providers. The workload is heavy, requiring excellent organisational skills andthe ability to prioritise amd manage this workload effectively.
