As director of inspection services, Mr. Foerder has over 29 years of collaborative experience in the construction industry for large scale infrastructure bridges, rapid transit, pipelines, marine vessels and highways. He specializes in providing Quality Assurance and Construction Management services in material welding fabrication and source inspection, non-destructive testing and construction management project oversight. Mr. Foerder holds multiple certifications in various disciplines, provides direction, mentoring, training and certification of Grit Force's' inspection staff and has provided quality assurance (QA) oversight services in the field and in major fabrication facilities throughout the United States, China and Japan. His straightforward, respectful and collaborative approach with stakeholders is a strong attribute that allows the team to solve complex issues that may arise while keeping project schedule and cost on track without sacrificing quality. Mr. Foerder led the research, procedure development, and implementation for performing the advanced and innovative NDT method of phased array ultrasonic testing (PAUT) for welded U-ribs to bridge deck panel inspection at an overseas fabrication facility for the Triborough Bridge and Tunnel Authority (TBTA).
