The world of cyber security is continually shifting and always offering new challenges. It’s these challenges that push my team and I to explore new and creative ways to protect our organization. By building a fully functional global team I’ve been able to introduce advanced analysis functions to a once purely reactive environment, and develop the analysts needed to take us to the next level. With the analysts in place and the introduction of industry standard metrics we’ve been able to quantitatively demonstrate our team’s value. Previously, I led an IT team that rebuilt the information systems for a non-profit, taking aging infrastructure that was end-of-life and replacing it with modern technology in order to support a mobile first workforce. The challenges associated with building a health care organizations system’s to support the various regulatory bodies they are beholden to was my introduction to the security field and exposed me to a whole new level of information technology.
