This was done while working for 8 different presidents.One challenge the company faced was the expense of over $1M and 18,000/hrs/yr manually on-boarding over 5K contract workers for many Fortune 500 companies. There was a significant issue related to tracking candidates’ paperwork, paperwork routinely was missing. Mr. Franklin suggested automating the entire signup process. At the time President Bush signed the eSign law that legalized electronic signatures. After consulting with an intellectual property attorney IT, with the help of HR, was able to develop an entire electronic automated signup application that was fully supported by outside legal counsel and HR.All FedEx fees and hours spent manually tracking documents were eliminated. The electronic signup process also made future employee audits by Fortune 500 companies effortless to execute.Bartech started a new service, Vendor Management Services, for Fortune 500 companies, acting as the linchpin between Fortune 500 companies and their staffing suppliers. After evaluation of the manual process used initially for creating, managing and remitting VMS invoices on behalf of multiple Fortune 500 companies, it was decided that, under the auspice of Mr. Franklin, IT would automated the process.The overall concept was to create an automated invoicing process, like an assembly line, as the number of customers increased, there was no need to add more employees to handle new customers. To achieve this, IT and Accounting, standardized invoicing data from all VMS systems and then developed an application based upon the Twitter framework that produced each customer’s custom invoice. Our accountants moved from data creators (creating invoices) to data analysts (invoice auditors). Subsequently, Bartech achieved awards for invoicing accuracy from a number of Fortune 100 customers. -
