Following graduation from the University of Connecticut I accepted an offer from Burroughs Corporation Computer Systems Division Hartford Ct. I spent 9 years there and automated 42 Financial Institutions throughout New England by taking them off IBM service bureaus and converting them to their own in house main frame computer. Following that I accepted a posistion as Vice President with Telecridit, Tampa FL now Equifax. I leaned the payment service industry and developed many new national products. After Telecredit was bought by Equifax I left the company and built a data center in Clearwater Fl. The center utilized STRATUS main frames and SEQUENT server farms. Preferred Check Sevices and Commonwealth Credit Card Processing Inc was founded and began processing merchants nationwide. Commonwealth was a direct VISA, MATERCARD merchant acquiring processor. In addition we processed pass through authorization for American Express and Discover. The company recieved interest from a NYSE company and I accepted their offer to buy the company..
