Currently I am responsible for Skin Care Packaging for North America. I partner with cross-category colleagues to shape and deliver category innovation plans, to meet design and supply chain requirements, while hitting financial targets and with a major focus on sustainability impact of packaging.

I took on my first management role in 2013, leading a team of 13 packaging engineers to deliver Special Packs and Displays projects across all brands and categories for North America, over 3000 projects a year, while meeting brand, customer, distribution and cost savings requirements. Over the last 2 years in this role, I led a major organizational transformation succesfully achieving all targets without any disruption to the business, enabling faster speed to market while shifting packaging resource to support bigger capability initiatives and release from the day to day activities. In same time period, I established a gift packaging capability team mapping global ways of working and delivering training program to the global packaging network.

In April 2007, I relocated to Trumbull and joined a global team working on Point of Purchase packaging and Merchandising Solutions. In this role I developed permanent in-store displays (6 months +) and new in-aisle merchandising solutions to drive sales while striving to generate higher return on investment that short term executions despite the higher cost upfront. In this role I learned to develop strategic relationships with suppliers building new global capabilities, as well as partnering with retailers in an open dialogue to understand their perspective to deliver win-win solutions in their stores. Internally, I also continued to drive process harmonization working with the team in Brazil enabling them to adapt the North American model delivering significant savings and improved speed to market.

In June 2006 I earned a short term assignment in Toronto taking responsibility for Point of Purchase packaging materials for Personal Care and Foods categories in the Canadian market. For the first time I got took a lead in process mapping, drivig harmonization of development and system processes between multiple North America R&D locations to drive one process for the team, eliminating site and category based differences.

I started as an Intern in June 2004 and have been with Unilever since. My first role was supporting the Deodorant category, where I first started working on Point of Purchase packaging materials. Each year I executed 100’s of projects, writing 1000’s of specs and owned delivery of packaging responsibilities as part of the cross functional team.
