As Senior Vice President, I am responsible for the leadership of the East region of the United States, managing a health-network portfolio of more than 2,000 facilities and 440,000 providers across 23 states, serviced by 50 staff members. In addition, I am responsible for the National Hospital System and National Workers' Compensation/Auto Medical program network-development strategies. Key duties include to define, implement, and execute key network development and contract negotiation strategies to increase hospital, physician, and ancillary provider participation and improve medical payment discounts across the region. During the past year, the East region outperformed all other regions in contribution to revenue. Key success factors are based on developing, mentoring, and leading a strong team while constantly working to enhance the skill sets of the contract-negotiation team to meet and exceed the annual performance goals.Over the course of my career at MultiPlan, I have had the opportunity to work in multiple regions of the United States, as well as nationally with the leadership of the National Hospital Systems and Workers' Compensation/Auto Medical network development. I consistently remain directly and actively engaged in many contract negotiation and relationship development activities with all types of providers across the region and the United States.

As Director of Managed Care for this integrated-delivery system, I was responsible for creating a unified managed care strategy, refining array of contracts, delivering market driven contracts to the payors, and developing the internal and external relationships to support the contracts. During my tenure, I developed, implemented, and managed a network-wide contract entity with more than 150,000 patient lives. This entity included 6 acute care hospitals and more than 1,300 physicians. I led and managed a network-wide Managed Care team of more than 15 professionals across eastern Massachusetts in multiple locations. I established utilization and case management programs to manage contracts under both risk and pay-for-performance models.

As Regional Network Manager, I was responsible for all provider relationships in the Greater Boston, South Shore, and Cape Cod Massachusetts area of a statewide HMO. I led and directed Professional Provider Services staff in the recruitment and servicing of providers and Professional Member Services staff in the servicing of subscribers.

As Health Center Administrator, I was directly responsible for the leadership and management of the daily operations of a 4,500 member staff-model HMO facility. This position included responsibility for the development and management of a ten-million-dollar annual operational and medical-expense budget. Working with our medical personnel, we achieved a one-million-dollar surplus beyond budget.

As Operations Manager of an inner-city community health center, I was directly responsible for the management of support services of seven departments and three facilities. As a critical care provider in the community, expansion was needed to meet the community's needs, and I wrote and prepared the Massachusetts Certificate of Need application for a major construction project. This included the management of more than $1,500,000 in renovation projects and the coordination of all development activities. I worked closely with technical advisors and City of Boston officials.
