Responsible for providing policy advice and internal/external stakeholder coordination for the Canadian Armed Forces' Peace Support Operations as well as engaging with Global Affairs Canada and the Permanent Mission in New York at the United Nations as it pertain to Peace Support Operations. Particular emphasis is given to policy support for DND's Middle East and Africa Strategies.

As the Policy Officer – Global Strategy and Engagements responsible for providing policy advice and internal/external stakeholder coordination for pan-regional partnerships and initiatives for the Canadian Armed Forces (CAF) and Department of National Defence (DND), as well as addressing global thematic policy matters as they arise. Particular emphasis is given to policy support for DND’s Global Engagement Strategy and Coordination of Ministerial Participation in DND-Sponsored Global Security Events.

As the Deputy Commanding Officer responsible to the Commanding Officer for the finance, business planning, infrastructure management, policy enforcement, and administration of the unit.

As the CIS PM, responsible for the oversight of several projects in order to strengthen the Command and Control capabilities of the Palestinian Authority Security Forces (PASF). Projects range from the overhaul of corporate level software shared by all directorates of the PASF to upgrading the telecommunications infrastructure for the security services.

As Officer Commanding 1 Squadron at the Canadian Forces Joint Signal Regiment, our mission is to provide deployable Information Technology Infrastructure to users anywhere, anytime on any operation both domestic and international.

As the Information Security Officer for NATO's Kosovo Force (KFOR), responsible for the safe guarding and monitoring of NATO information, conducting investigations, and censoring sensitive information.

As part of the staff for the Vice Chief of the Defence Staff (VCDS) advised the Chief of Staff (COS) on matters regarding to communications at the corporate/strategic level, looked after the VCDS Group formations as their communication planners as well as the gateway to other departmental orgniazations charged with the delivery of communications. Additionally, performed the following secondary duties:-Formation COMSEC Authority-Headquarters Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO)-Information Management Officer (IMO)

As the Deputy Regimental Operations Officer (DR Ops O), was the second in command of the Operations and Training Cell of the Canadian Forces Joint Signal Regiment (CFJSR). This cell looks after the mounting of deploying unit capabilities to many different operations throughout the world where Canada has a military presence. The main task of the DR Ops O is to ensure coordination with outside agencies and deconflict the employment of capabilities. Secondary duties include looking after an annual budget of 1.5M in order to accomplish unit operations and training goals.

As the military advisor to an Afghanistan National Police (ANP) Colonel, primary task was to advise the Colonel on how best to use ANP signals assets to help in training delivery across Afghanistan at the various ANP training centres. In addition to this role, was a Convoy Commander for the training organization which entailed commanding convoys throughout the Afghan capital, Kabul. An added benefit was working with a multinational organization that made up of Americans, Spanish, Romanians, Italians, Dutch, and other NATO contributors while training the ANP.

As the Operations Officer for 21 Electronic Warfare (EW) Regiment duties included coordinating Regimental training initiatives and producing a three year operations and training directive for the employment of land, tactical EW capabilities. The Operations cell coordinated the deployment of EW both domestic and foreign. In addition to these duties, I was the Officer Commanding the Regimental Headquarters.

As the Second in Command of the Squadron duties included looking after the administration, infrastructure, and finances of the Squadron of approximately 110 personnel and equipment. As the National Command and Control Information Systems (NCCIS) Troop Commander was responsible for a troop, roughly 30 personnel, who were responsible for all Canadian military data and voice communications into the Afghanistan area of operations for Task Force Kandahar back to Canada. This was also known as 'rear link' communications which entails voice and data signals being routed over satellite communications back to Canada. The troop also looked after all unclassified voice and data to over 2500 personnel within theatre.

During this time at the Canadian Forces Joint Signal Regiment, a Troop was formed to conduct training in order to prepare for a deployment to Afghanistan. Topics covered a wide variety including living in an austere environment and the technology that we would be employing. Most centric to this was the employment of 'rear link' communications to over 2500 personnel while deployed which included all unclassified data, voice and most classified systems. Secondary duties included:-Communications Security (COMSEC) Custodian-Assisting Officer-Attending Officer

As the Acting Operations Officer for the Post Recruit Education and Training Center (PRETC), coordinated with other military schools, units, and bases on behalf of the Commanding Officer with regards to operations and training of new recruits that had passed basic training but net yet been trained in an occupational speciality.
