Senior Corporate Counsel, Intellectual Property Enforcement

Office of the Intellectual Property Enforcement Coordinator• Provide policy and legal guidance on Intellectual Property matters to the Intellectual Property Enforcement Coordinator (IPEC).• Coordinate the development and execution of the Administration’s Joint Strategic Plan against counterfeiting and infringement. • Facilitate the issuance of policy guidance to departments and agencies on Intellectual Property enforcement issues.• Review existing Intellectual Property laws and recommend legislative changes designed to increase the effectiveness of U.S. Intellectual Property enforcement. Liaison with Congress, Executive Branch agencies and Intellectual Property stakeholders to implement legislative recommendations.• Co-chair of the United States Government (USG) Inter-Agency Anti-Counterfeiting Working Group established to eliminate counterfeit products in the USG supply chain. Convene meetings and develop a framework for a government-wide approach to reducing vulnerability to counterfeits that is flexible enough to accommodate the wide variety of missions of the USG and report findings to the President, Vice-President and Congress.• Develop Intellectual Property education and public awareness campaigns with internal and external stakeholders.
