• 2012 – Present Lead Commissioning E&I Engineer (Drilling Package)Chief Electronic Technician/Grade 1
• Working as part of Dolphin Project team during shipyard phase as Lead Commissioning E&I Engineer (Drilling Package).
• Working as Grade 1 ET on the Bolette Dolphin Drillship. Duties and Responsibilities included:
• Daily inspections and maintenance on all electronic equipment.
• Effective management of SAP (Maintenance System).
• Maintain and repair all electronic systems as required in relation to Dynamic Positioning/Navigation, Drilling Package Instrumentation, BOP equipment, Power Management System and Communication systems.

Black Sea

• 2011 – 2012 Chief Electronic Technician Transocean
• Working as Chief ET on the newly built Transocean Deepwater Champion Drillship.Duties and Responsibilities were similar to the above roll on Bolette Dolphin.
• Rigs 1st year operations were 99.7% efficient/uptime.
• Departed from Transocean due the fact that the Deepwater Champion Vessel went to work in GOM and as such all crew were changed out with US personnel. Was assigned alternate roll on 5th Gen Drillship but chose challenge.

UK

• 2002 – 2011 Project Installation Manager/ Lead Electrical
• Installation Manager / Lead Electrical Engineer supervising NOV service engineers installing new build equipment. Role comprises of supervising installation, troubleshooting and carrying out all software upgrades to.
• Installed, commissioned and troubleshot various drilling equipment for numerous drilling contractors. This included Varco and then National Oilwell Varco Top Drive Systems (TDS4, 8, 9, 11, 1000 & TDX1250, Pipe.
• The above listed equipment involved working on Siemens and ABB AC drives. Tying into rigs SCR systems for DC motor control with active field supplies. Working with GE Fanuc, Direct Logic, Siemens, Allen Bradley PLC’s.
• Installed and Commissioned Shaffer BOP and Diverter control systems for numerous drilling contractors. This ranged from older Koomey control systems to 4/5th generation MUX subsea systems. Worked on various oil rigs.

• 1992 – 2002 Electrical /Mechanical Maintenance Engineer Michelin PLC UK
• Completed 4 year Michelin engineering apprenticeship as electro/mechanical maintenance technician.
• Used multi-discipline skills to cover breakdowns in all fields of engineering on factory plant.
• Maintaining and diagnosing faults on systems controlled and run by Programmable Logic Controllers, AC/DC Drives, Hydraulics and Pneumatics in a high pressure environment.
• Installed new plant both electrical/mechanical then commissioned and overseen it put into production.
