Nashville Fertility Center is a state-of-the-art clinic providing reproductive healthcare to the intended parents of Tennessee and surrounding states. Much of NFC's success comes from the collaboration with the innovative andrology, endocrinology and in vitro fertilization (IVF) laboratories of Ovation® Fertility, Middle TN Ambulatory Surgery Center and Reproductive Genetics at Nashville Fertility Center. PathGroup is one of the largest physician-owned pathology groups in the United States. They provide comprehensive anatomic, clinical, and molecular pathology services to over 70 hospitals located across the United States. I was the Anatomic Pathology Supervisor and Anatomic Pathology Accessioning Supervisor for PathGroup's flagship business unit located in Nashville, TN. My main job duties included employee scheduling, payroll, problem resolution, budgeting, maintaining inventory, documenting employee performance, and supervising the day-to-day operations of the department. In addition, I was responsible for recruiting, selecting, training, and developing the gross examination staff, pathology support technicians, and data entry personnel. I quickly learned the ability to troubleshoot technical, human resources, logistical, client services, and information technology issues. During my tenure as supervisor, I was able to lower the annual voluntary turnover rate to 0% scored a perfect 100% compliance rating on all Tennessee State and CAP inspections.My technical job duties as a pathology grossing technician included preparing bone marrow specimens, processing histological tissue, preparing routine solutions, maintaining an inventory of supplies, and performing gross examinations on all pathology specimens with a CPT code of 88300 to 88307.
