I work in the hospitality industry at the McLure Hotel in the Wild and Wonderful state of West Virginia.I complete tasks involved in the effort of satisfying the needs of our guests and employee's. These tasks involve guest service, accounting, housekeeping, maintenance, and e-business.Guest service for me is a simple philosophy: Treat people how you would want to be treated at all times.In the accounting department, we work on QuickBooks to record deposits, payments, and taxes. At the end of each month we send the owner a copy of the Income Statement.My accounting tasks include maintaining the accounting records for our 31 apartments. I record payments and refunds using Microsoft Excel. As the operating manager I maintain a close eye on hotel process for our guests. In such a competitive industry, we have to continue to improve our facility, service, and overall guest experience. I make sure the task/projects are completed to a high degree of quality. My oversight of housekeeping involves watching and recording housekeeping hours to ensure we do not go over budget. In addition, I help inspect the finished product once housekeeping is complete for the day.

Assisted the accounting department with the day-to-day operations of hotel accounting. Tasks included entering data into the hotel's accounting systems, an Oracle accounting system.
