30 years of business management and ownership centered entirely on the hotel and hospitality industry. I have the unique perspective of half my career devoted to restaurant, hotel operations and ownership while the second half was devoted to the creation and sales and marketing of hotel technology. I decided to build upon my growing interest in software and computers and founded NoBarriers Integration Solution in 1999-2006 to address the aggregation and centralization of hotel data from disparate systems. In 2007, I purchased Vistera Systems, building out the platform to address extraction and normalization of hotel P&L data from multiple formats. A cloud based repository, web analytics and reporting provided business intelligence for hotel owners, hotel REITS and hotel asset managers. In 2011, I developed my most recent venture, RoamingAround, a mobile, location based marketing platform allowing an enhanced, personalized guest experience based on their location and preferences. In the early days of RoamingAround we discovered the interior of hotels provided sub-par cellular coverage that would inhibit the success of our mobile solutions. In response, we founded RoamBOOST, a DAS (distributed antenna system) integration company boosting the cell signal of all carriers indoors and outdoors for numerous hotel brands.
