Advertising was never really my thing — my real passion is in interactive design. My background in writing and testing W3C-compliant HTML and CSS code has made me a better designer. I have learned a lot about UX and UI design, and work hard to prepare very strong process documents that are at the same time technical, but easily understood by clients. All of my designs currently are developed from the beginning to be mobile responsive, and designs are always produced for desktop, tablets and mobile devices. My current position allows me to work on site maps, page wireframes, user flows, content blocking, and of course UI design. With 20 years experience I've pretty much seen it all. I have worked as senior designer and art director in both large and small agencies, and have been in the freelance space for 10 years as well. I have learned the skills necessary to take a job through the entire spectrum, from concept development through to final production, in print and web. I am comfortable speaking with and presenting to clients, and have a pretty easy-going attitude when it comes to my approach. As a freelancer I get to do a fair amount of print work with the RASC, and I have lots of fun working in both print and the interactive space with Simulation Curriculum, and I'd never turn down an opportunity to do some illustration work.
