Help to develop and assemble inflatable and deployable structures for both terrestrial and space applications. Work with various lightweight materials including aluminum-coated Mylars and Kapton, carbon fiber, and Kevlar. Use different adhesives such as Hysol, Tycel, CV1-1142, Aptek, CV2-2289, Epibond and MasterBond. Prep surfaces and paint and assemble scale models from Dimension SST 1200es 3D printers using production grade thermoplastics. Collaborate with team members in a fast-paced shop environment. Built casings from aluminum and Plexiglas. Operate milling machines, lathes, drill presses, grinders, sanders, routers, chop/table saws, surface plates, calipers, height gauges, and torque and hand tools. Assist with electrochemical etching, low voltage wiring, trained in clean room, IPC-J-STD-001 standard soldering.

Built miniature interiors for cutaway model aircraft using reshape, styrene, and fiberglass. Created clear tail and wing lens sections from Plexiglas and used two-part fast casting to make duplicate interior parts. Updated and repaired existing model aircraft, vacuum formed Plexiglas for lights and canopies, and installed low-voltage wiring. Operated a milling machine, small lathe, drill press, grinder, sander, router, chop saw, table saw, surface plate, calipers and more.

Responsible for shop set-up for start-up Jacuzzi bath tub company. Shaped master patterns to create vacuum-formed side panels and assembled PVC pipe fittings.

Surveyed commercial properties for fire ants, and inspected rivers and flood channels for mosquito larvae.

Built detailed parts and assemblies, such as gauges front and rear light assemblies for million- dollar auto show concept cars. Interpreted engineering designs and created a detailed production assembly per blueprint specifications and tolerances. Took direction from design engineering sketches to build one-off prototype assemblies or production tools for a special-use assembly. Used hand tools such as drills, pliers, screwdrivers, riveters, sockets, drivers, reamers and mechanics tools. Operated a milling machine, lathe, surface plate, and machinist inspection tools for aluminum, steel and carbon fiber parts for assemblies.

Built small prototype models. Prepared master mold pieces made from rapid prototype machines to be molded with RTV silicone. Operated a lathe, mill, and vacuum forming machines, as well as standard shop machinery.

In the prototype display dept, I was responsible for building clients first prototype merchandise displays from AutoCad drawings.Working with Corrugated materials, Sintra, wood, metal, plexiglass and styrene. Vacuum forming styrene parts. Operating shop machinery, portable power tools and hand tools.
