A SABSA qualified security architect with 15+ years’ IT experience. I have worked on a broad range of projects and can lead or contribute to all aspects of IT project delivery from concept and proposal development, through to operational handover. The environment I come from has a diverse range of technologies running on the Microsoft platform. These include disciplines such as Identity management, Applications & Application Development, Server and Storage, Virtualization, Network, Security, End User Computing. In my current role I also develop architecture principles, standards, and policies. I am also responsible for risk, security and compliance and perform architectural governance duties.As an architect my guiding principle is to consider the bigger picture and look at decisions in the context of business strategy. I seek to provide business value by looking at projects and solutions with outside the box thinking and leveraging technology advances. To be effective I have cultivated strong communication, facilitation and negotiation skills and an ability to know when and how to drive and influence change.
