As the Category Management Lead for Facilities Management and Construction for BAE Systems, Inc. I am responsible for the following:Develop and implement category management and strategic sourcing strategies, implement best practices to achieve maximum cost savings, develop and execute RFXs, conduct market, data and vendor analyses, write, negotiate and execute contracts, deploy technology solutions to meet business needs, develop, foster and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders and vendors, develop and manage supply chain programs and processes and engage in continuous process improvements.

As the Director of Purchasing, I lead the Purchasing Department for The Seminole Tribe of Florida. I was responsible for managing, enforcing and enhancing procurement policies and procedures as well as ensuring Governmental compliance. I continued to grow and enhance a team of twenty-six procurement professionals that specialize in Contract Management, Vendor Management and ERP administration. I developed category strategies, implemented solutions and automated workflows to enhance the strategic sourcing process. These categories included construction management, facilities management, professional services, medical devices, public works components and services and information technology that encompassed SaaS (software as a service) agreements, hardware, on-prem license agreements and information security. This department manages Tribal Government wide purchasing including the cradle to grave process of solicitations, contract management, vendor management, vendor registration, vendor background checks and ERP administration. I continued to work with the team on perpetual process improvements and seeking process efficiencies to better serve the Tribe and the community.

Developed and managed Procurement function for Baltimore Manufacturing plant including the development of SOP's, contract templates, and processes, negotiated over 1500 contracts, manage vendors, develop scopes of work (SOW), requests for proposals (RFP) and requests for quotes (RFQ), aid in supply chain management and warehouse compliance activities, ensure FAR, GMP and SOX compliance, aid the facility in ensuring that all regulatory body guidelines including OSHA and the FDA are met, implemented procurement and supply chain functions in SAP, chairman of a global procurement initiative to centralize the procurement functions in each location and to leverage volume discount pricing, and a member of a specification committee review board that reviews and approves raw material specifications.

Developed SOP's for the procurement department, managed a team of twelve (12) procurement professionals that oversaw all aspects of procurement including IT, print management, office supplies and various commodities and services, managed the MWBE supplier program, ensured FAR and SOX compliance, aided in process improvement and rolled out beginning stages of Ariba Contract Management system.
